Kazakhstan sprays for locusts on one-third of planned farmland

ASTANA. June 4 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakhstan has sprayed 700,000 hectares of agricultural land against locust pests, representing 31.8% of the 2.2 million hectares scheduled for control operations nationwide, the Agriculture Ministry said.
